Adèle Charvet & Julie Roset – Le Concert de la loge – Julien Chauvin

Presented by Philippe Maillard production (PLATESV-R-2022-011004). Francesco Geminiani is an almost legendary figure of the Baroque era. A phenomenal violinist, he was the disciple of Alessandro Scarlatti and Arcangelo Corelli. His name was then spoken in the same breath as Vivaldi and Handel. Julien Chauvin and Le Concert de la Loge invite us to rediscover this unjustly neglected composer. Alongside La Foresta incantata, composed by Geminiani in 1754 to accompany a pantomime at the Palais des Tuileries, the program of this concert features magnificent arias and duets from operas by his two great contemporaries, Handel and Vivaldi. The virtuosos of Le Concert de la Loge will carry two sparkling voices, those of Julie Roset and Adèle Charvet.
