ATHÈNES DÉBARQUE À LA MÉCA : THEODORE + SOMA

🇬🇷 ATHENS ARRIVES AT LA MÉCA ON 20 NOVEMBER.

Sanit Mils presents :

THEODORE (Alternative Post-Rock - Greece)

Songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist, THEODORE turns alternative rock into a shifting material, crafted with electronics, post-punk and intentionally existential writing. Tracks designed to take on another dimension on stage, where his work relies as much on tension as on immersion.

After several European tours and two visits to the United States, his live performance at SXSW caught the attention of Bob Boilen, who invited him in 2019 for an NPR Tiny Desk session. Reeperbahn, Eurosonic, Primavera Pro or Europavox would follow, as well as dates alongside Sigur Rós, Amber Run and DIIV.

At the end of 2025, Theodore releases FIRE then takes it onto European roads.

SOMA (Psychedelic Grunge-Punk - Greece)

SOMA is the new band of Xanthos Papanikolaou, former frontman of Bazooka. With Thanos Frantzis (Tiffany), Timos Harden (Silhouette) and Orfeas Daramaras (XVIV), he dives back into what Greek rock does best and most instinctively: overflowing guitars, a rhythm section constantly pushing forward and melodies sung in Greek that stay in your head.

Their first album Sti Chora Tou Fotos (In the Land of Light) was released in April 2026 on Magma Records, George Karanikolas's label from The Last Drive. One can hear the band's taste for sixties psychedelic rock, but also everything Athens has since absorbed from post-punk and grunge.
