On the occasion of the inauguration of the new auditorium of the Conservatoire Erik Satie, and in line with the theme of the cultural season, the students invite you to discover a musical and theatrical cabaret around Erik Satie and his friends.

A free, facetious and unclassifiable figure of early twentieth-century artistic creation, Erik Satie mingled with many artists and participated in the excitement of Parisian avant-gardes. Music, poetry, theater and humor come together in this program conceived and performed by students of the conservatory.

On the program

🎵 Songs

A selection of songs from the 1910s to 1940, performed by students of the Contemporary Music department.

🎷 Jazz

A plunge into the sounds and spirit of jazz, which ran through the artistic Paris of the era.

🎭 Theater & poetry

Excerpts from texts and plays by Jean Cocteau and his friends, between poetry, theater, humor and fantasy.

An afternoon placed under the sign of freedom, invention and insolence, in the spirit of Erik Satie and the artists who surrounded him.
