Ciné-débat : « Femmes des terres » avec l’association Terre de Liens

Discover the documentary « Femmes des Terres », during a film-debate organized with the Terre de Liens association.

The film recounts the intersecting experiences of female farmers from Bolivia, France and Togo.

We invite you to come watch the documentary « Femmes des Terres » directed by six agronomy students (Edgar BAOUA-DEDRICH, Soizic BAUMARD, Emma BLANDIN, Pyrène VAN DEN STEENDAM, Aïnhoa SAINT-GEORGES, Bleuenn LEBAILL), screened as part of the ALIMENTERRE festival.

Women are very present in the agricultural sector; in France they represent 32 % of agricultural jobs. They remain little visible despite their numbers. The film recounts the intersecting experiences of female farmers from Bolivia, France and Togo. Women who chose to organize, to get involved in non-mixed women's groups, collectives or cooperatives to gain autonomy and fully claim their place.

The screening will be followed by a discussion led by the association Terre de liens Ile-de-France, which works to preserve farmland and support the settlement of organic farmers, in the presence of Marion, a market gardener recently settled at the Terre de Liens farm of Combreux in Tournan-en-Brie (Seine-de-Marne).

The ALIMENTERRE festival is an international event on sustainable and solidarity food. Around a selection of documentary films, it encourages learning and understanding agricultural and food issues in France and around the world.
