Crée ton Yôkaï !

This workshop links culture, plastic techniques and individual creativity.

It offers a discovery of Japanese folklore through the ykkai, fantastic creatures from legends. A brief introduction presents their history, and some examples, including those drawn by the master of the Yôkai: Shigeru Mizuki.

You will then discover the watercolor and ink of China with the pen by making a first ykkai already sketched. In a second step, you will invent your own creature: choice of characteristics, short story, preparatory sketch, then coloring and inking.
