For several years, David Sauzay has been developing with his quartet music deeply rooted in the jazz tradition, from its origins to the present day.

The repertoire explores all the richness of jazz : swing, blues, bossa nova, fast tempos, and ballads, through standards and original compositions written by the different members of the group. Spirit of Alice, Taketori, Max’s View, « G », In the Still of the Night, Mas Que Nada, My Old Flame…

After two studio albums, the David Sauzay quartet now wishes to capture the energy and spontaneity of its concerts through a first live album, ‘Live at the Jass Club’.

Recorded live in public, this album will give a central place to the quartet's new compositions as well as original arrangements of great jazz classics.
