DROP SIX

Drop Six is a sextet with original arrangements inspired by the American jazz repertoire of the 1930 to 1950.

The group follows in the tradition of festive and joyful jazz while drawing inspiration from major figures such as Fats Waller, Count Basie, Ella Fitzgerald, or Sidney Bechet.

Thanks to the tone of its three horns and the swing of its rhythm section, the lineup recreates the warm and energetic effect of a large orchestra… the Big Band effect!

Their musical universe also incorporates diverse influences ranging from New Orleans and bebop to gypsy jazz, blues, and bossa nova.
