Cuba, a few years after the Cuban Revolution, inspectors straight from Moscow are sent to ensure that towns and their inhabitants respect the authority of the Soviet big brother: the Revizors.

In Lawton, near Havana, lives the Antonovito family: Ana the mistress of the house, Antón governor in his own right, their daughter María, and their henchmen Bobo and Dobo.

Their daily routine of cunning and manipulation is turned upside down by the arrival of a letter straight from the Comintern: A Revizor arrives! How to hide the poverty? How to justify the state of the town? How to conceal years of corruption and lies? The Revizor is coming! Perhaps he is already here!

Faced with this turmoil: Ivan, exiled in Cuba, penniless. This young Russian left Moscow to flee his responsibilities and debts. That is when the destinies of this family and this Cossack intersect for better or worse. Everything will be done to win the favors of the "Revizor".
