Exposition de Rebekka Deubner, Strip - Les Douches la Galerie

Les Douches la Galerie is pleased to present, for the first time, an exhibition devoted to Rebekka Deubner, whose work the gallery now represents. Strip, a project developed between 2022 and 2023 using clothes that belonged to her mother, five years after her passing, explores the relationships between memory, absence, and the presence of the body. In her photograms, garments are placed directly onto photosensitive paper, revealing their forms, folds, and overlays. The videos extend this investigation through gesture: the artist wears, handles, and piles up the clothes, making her own body the site of a reactivated presence. Notably presented at LE BAL, Strip takes on a new form today at the gallery, featuring a collection of new, large-format pieces produced by the artist for this exhibition.
