Gans

GANS is a duo from the West Midlands, UK. Thomas Rhodes and Euan Woodman met while studying. They shared their respective passions for music, books, and art. That is how GANS was born.

Rehearsals and an intensive writing period began in late 2023.

Uncompromising… Making noise for the love of it… Music they make first and foremost for themselves… Music carrying messages.

Thomas Rhodes (bass, guitar, synthesizers, vocals) and Euan Woodman (drums, vocals, synthesizers) brought together a genuine blend of influences, ranging from big band jazz to country, by way of techno and punk. Two open minds driven by a love of good music, whatever its genre.

Five self-produced singles were released on the band's own label, HOT DAWG RECORDS, between November 2023 and November 2024.

A ferocious and mastered sonic world in which the band controls every aspect of its production, from the songs to the visuals, including music videos.

The first radio plays followed, while playlists on Spotify and Apple Music began shining a spotlight on the band.

Strap Originals, the independent label founded by Peter Doherty, member of The Libertines and Babyshambles, decided to sign the band after discovering them at a DIY gig organized by GANS in a second-hand vintage clothing shop in Birmingham.

GANS's debut album, GOOD FOR THE SOUL, was released in September 2025. It was produced in Sheffield, UK, by Ross Orton, known for his work with Arctic Monkeys, The Fall, and Amyl & The Sniffers.

The album spawned four singles, all added to BBC Radio 6 Music playlists, including two live sessions broadcast by the BBC. In the United States, KEXP also backed the band, playing their tracks on multiple occasions.

The press followed, notably with support from Rolling Stone and Clash, among many other British and European media outlets.

In 2025, the band performed more than 150 concerts, taking the stage at venues and festivals across the UK and Europe.

GANS has toured notably alongside Big Special, The Libertines, Ekkstacy, and GOAT.

Show after show, GANS has earned a reputation as a must-see live act.

Incendiary performances bursting with noise, love, and dancing. That is what keeps GANS fans coming back again and again.

And GANS's live adventure is far from slowing down: more than 120 concerts are scheduled in 2026, notably at the biggest festivals. The band has already toured in the UK and Europe with The Vaccines, Big Special, and The Pixies.

New music is expected throughout 2026.
