Giovanni Mirabassi « Più Avanti »

Presented by Le Sunset (L-1017720-721-722)Timeline is a concert format created by Juliette Poitrenaud. Regularly since 2023, a musician.ne invests the Sunset or the Sunside during three evenings to evoke three temporalities of his career: concerts declined to the past, the present and the future.En 2001, Giovanni Mirabassi realizes a teenage dream: reinterpret his revolutionary songs. With “Avanti!”, alone at his piano, the artist signs the manifesto of his career. Against all expectations, the project met with a meteoric success (70000 copies sold) and imposed the Italian pianist as a major figure on the international music scene. Driven by this momentum, Giovanni receives in 2002 the Victoire du Jazz and the Django d’Or. Unavailable for sale since 2005, the disc has never ceased to exist, to be transmitted and requested. 25 years after the birth (and disappearance) of this mythical album, Giovanni Mirabassi finally revisits these compositions with the experience, maturity and technique he had always envisioned. “Piu Avanti!” is the masterpiece of a life built by resilience.
