Le Book club de rideau! avec Marion Carré

In Le paradoxe du tapis roulant : vaincre notre paresse intellectuelle face à l’IA (JC Lattès), Marion Carré shows how generative AI, by accelerating our ideas, also tends to homogenize our output. Her proposal: turn the moving walkway into a treadmill, and use AI not to ease our burden, but to challenge ourselves.

For this edition, we continue the conversation from her interview in person. I will introduce the book and its author, then we will read a few pages together before opening the floor to discussion: your questions, reactions, uses of AI, your enthusiasm as well as your hesitations, particularly in the cultural sector. Marion will also share her favorites to add to your reading list.

The evening continues with a networking session, featuring a DJ set by Nanna, who hosts us. An event that is both intellectually demanding and festive.

Book club from 19:00 to 20:30, evening from 20:30.

About rideau!

rideau! is the media platform for women shaping culture. Founded by Alice Lebredonchel after roughly twenty years in the cultural sector, it highlights the bold paths of those who shape and question the cultural world: interviews, practical tools, news, and gatherings to inspire one another. A newsletter is published every other Sunday, and the Book club extends these conversations in person.
