Gustave, a distinguished collector and owner of a cabinet of curiosities, immerses us in the strangeness, stories, and mysteries of his most treasured pieces. Between lucidity and surprise, we are transported beyond reality by his tales and performances. A simple showman or a charlatan, our protagonist begins to doubt when a haunted object plays tricks on him; returning to a still-present reality that, deep down, surely frightens him.
