But thanks to their perseverance, the Palmiers Discrets cosmetic surgery clinic, where showers of tormented confessions and the vagaries of Love beat in unison, continues to come alive before your eyes. For the duration of a few camera takes, four hearts navigate, drift and capsize before heading back out to sea. A romantic comedy in one act, Les Gueux de l'Amour explores a universal problem: what prevents us from moving forward in life, particularly on the path to romantic fulfillment, takes root in the struggles of our past.
