Les musiques de John Williams & Hans Zimmer en concert symphonique returns to stages across France in February & March 2027 to let you (re)live an unforgettable new musical adventure !

On the program : Interstellar, Jurassic Park, The Dark Knight, Harry Potter, Inception, Star Wars or Pirates of the Caribbean... rediscover your favorite film scores performed by more than 70 musicians on stage ! Under the direction of conductor Nicolas Simon, the Yellow Socks Orchestra - a French symphony orchestra specialized in film music - will perform live the greatest scores by these two genius composers.

John Williams, undisputed master of orchestration, revolutionized film music starting in the 1970s. Regular composer for Steven Spielberg and George Lucas, he penned the scores for the greatest masterpieces of the 7th art : E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Jaws, Indiana Jones... His unforgettable melodic themes, recognizable from the very first notes, restored the noble status of the symphony orchestra in cinema. Awarded 5 Oscars and 54 nominations, Williams remains a living legend whose work spans generations.

Hans Zimmer for his part embodies modernity and audacity. A German composer naturalized American, he disrupted the codes of film music by blending monumental orchestrations with electronic sounds. His collaborations with Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight, Inception, Interstellar) and Ridley Scott (Gladiator) have marked the history of contemporary cinema. Awarded 2 Oscars, Zimmer sculpts immersive atmospheres that transform every scene into a genuine emotional vertigo.

For nearly two hours, dive back into the heart of these epic musical frescoes that marked the history of cinema. We remind you that this show honors the music of Hans Zimmer & John Williams and that the two composers will not be present on stage. Their greatest works will be performed live by the Yellow Socks Orchestra under the direction of conductor Nicolas Simon.

Nicolas Simon, musical director of the Yellow Socks Orchestra, is the principal conductor of the Orchestre de Caen appointed in September 2020, founder, artistic and musical director of La Symphonie de Poche and Philharmonicoeur, associate conductor of Orchestre Les Siècles and conductor of the Démos project.

The Yellow Socks Orchestra is a French symphony orchestra specialized in film music. It was created in 2015 by the production company uGo&Play and placed under the musical direction of Nicolas Simon. The Yellow Socks Orchestra, literally "l'orchestre aux chaussettes jaunes", is a nod to a convention still in effect in certain orchestras : musicians must always wear black socks at the risk of being penalized with a deduction from their salary ! Thus, we took the opposite approach (...) and gave the musicians yellow socks !
