Madra Salach

Presented by AEG PRESENTS FRANCE (L2-013910 / 3-013909)Madra Salach is a contemporary folk band from Dublin that mixes traditional Irish music, indie sounds and electronic experimentation. Formed by six friends from the local scene, the group first found themselves around improvised sessions in the pubs, before developing their own compositions. Carried by the voice of Paul Banks, his music brings together traditional instruments, synthesizers and distortions, creating a universe that is at once raw, immersive and resolutely modern. With his debut album Gorta set to debut 2027, Madra Salach affirms a singular identity, drawing on Irish history and heritage to better reinvent them. After a first EP noticed, the group gradually imposes itself on the independent scene, driven by a free approach to folk, between collective memory and sound experiments. A music deeply rooted in its roots, but which escapes any nostalgia.
