Deputy Ventroux is an ambitious politician seeking a ministerial portfolio in the Navy. The only fly in the ointment: his wife Clarisse, who has gotten into the habit of walking around half-naked in their apartment.

Just as he is preparing to welcome a political opponent, Ventroux manages to reason with her so that she stops wandering around in her underwear. But a dispute erupts between the spouses...
