A performer for more than twenty years in the field of early music, Miguel Henry founded the ensemble Les Présences in 2023 on this incredibly fertile ground of music composed between the 12th and 18th centuries.

This ensemble is part of this movement of rediscovering musicians centuries after their death. And beyond the musicians, it is an encounter with musical thoughts that are alien to us, or at the very least distant.

Awareness of this historical singularity – the rediscovery of early music – lies at the heart of Miguel Henry's work.

It is never about escaping the present, but on the contrary always returning to it. Taking a step to the side, gaining the necessary distance to listen to our world with a fresh ear.
