Melissa Lesnie ‘Ella Wishes You a Swinging Christmas’

Swing jazz (Christmas carols)

The 38Riv invites you to swing under the mistletoe with a trio highlighting Ella Fitzgerald's legendary album, Ella Wishes You a Swinging Christmas. The magic of this record, recorded in 1960, lies in the way it transforms seasonal songs into a true playground for jazz musicians. At the microphone, Australian singer Melissa Lesnie restores velvety hues to Christmas standards such as Sleigh Ride, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, or Mel Tormé's timeless Christmas Song. A lively evening with a touch of glamour to enter the holiday season in style.

Line-up: Melissa Lesnie: vocals; Zoé Sédano: piano; Moira Montier-Dauriac: double bass
