Metin et Kemal Kahraman

Metin et Kemal Kahraman are two brother musicians and ethnomusicologists of Turkish and Zazi origin (from Dersim/Tunceli), famous for co-founding Grup Yorum for Metin and for their work in preserving oral memory, tales and traditional Alevi music in the Zazi, Kurmanji and Turkish languages.

Born in a mountain village in Pllmr (Dersim), they grew up between Erzincan and Dersim, imbuing themselves with dual culture and local languages.

Their style combines traditional instruments (baglama, cura) with acoustic and modern arrangements.
