Princess Mononoké

The music of the legendary Japanese composer Joe Hisaishi, taken from the cinematographic masterpiece Princess Mononoke of the great master of animation Hayao Miyazaki, will be performed by the Simple Music Ensemble World.

It is almost impossible to imagine the universe of Miyazaki without the music of Joe Hisaishi. His compositions seem to breathe a soul into the characters, making them vibrate, breathe and exist beyond the screen. In Princess Mononoke, his sublime melodies accompany with rare intensity the destiny of the young prince Ashitaka, struck with a terrible curse and forced to undertake a perilous journey. A journey during which he will discover that the most difficult fight is not against external forces, but the one he leads in himself.
