Quatuor magenta

Three female composers, four female musicians, and the same desire to make singular voices heard for this Constellation gathering. Echoing these feminine universes, Raphaël Merlin signs La Jeune Fille, a work inspired by Schubert, suffused with the benevolent shadow of Beethoven and dedicated to patron Winaretta Singer.

Program:

Raphaël Merlin, La Jeune Fille (ProQuartet co-commission)

Fanny Mendelssohn, String Quartet

Sky Macklay, Vertebrae

Grazyna Bacewicz, String Quartet n°4
