Sacha Boutros & Lady Ellington

Presented by Le Sunset (L-1017720-721-722). Lady Ellington brings together four women with singular personalities from the jazz scene around a vibrant celebration of the music and legacy of Duke Ellington. Carried by the voice of international singer Sacha Boutros, the quartet brings together pianist and composer Leïla Olivesi, double bassist Leïla Soldevila and drummer Julie Saury. Together, they draw from Ellington's extraordinary universe, between swing, blues, ballads and songs. Each brings her own personality, experience and cultural sensitivity to this timeless repertoire, driven by the same conviction: that of music without borders, a universal language capable of connecting beings, cultures and generations. More than a tribute, Lady Ellington offers a new dialogue with Ellington's tradition: elegant, joyful, refined and deeply swinging, celebrating both one of jazz's greatest legacies and the strength of women's voices in today's jazz.
