Nonsense presents: Satellites
Thursday 05 November 2026
Between the alleys of Istanbul of the years 70 and the burning sun of Jaffa, Tel Aviv, atellites unveils its first eponymous album (released on April 1 on Batov Records).
The band mixes traditional Turkish folk, psychedelic guitars, groovy basses and disco-funk energy. Inspired by the Anatolian Golden Age, the album revisits classics (Kamuran Akkor, Zafer Dilek) while offering original tracks, between Anatolian rock and dancefloor vibrations.
Formed around Itamar Kluger, fallen in love with the saz in the Kaçkar mountains, the six-member collective electrifies this emblematic instrument to make it dialogue with funk, disco and psychedelicism.
An incandescent bridge between Middle Eastern traditions and Western modernity.
The bands first single got airplay on FIP Radio.
The band played Beaches Brew (IT) Dekmantel (NL) and Lowlands (NL) festival among others.
