Scott Lavene is a British singer-songwriter and storyteller whose work combines social realism, dark humour, poetic force and a typically English sense of place. Originally from Essex, Lavene has forged a place of choice as a chronicler of the forgotten; his songs are populated by tramps, nocturnal wanderers and small-town dreamers.

Before her musical career took off, Lavene spent years working in various odd jobs, experiments that would later feed the unvarnished authenticity of her lyrics. His songs often give the impression of being new set to music, interpreted in a conversational style, almost spoken word, which lies somewhere between indie folk and post-punk.
