Stage Techniques d’écriture

Whether you are an experienced author or a beginner, here are three days to deepen writing techniques concerning story structure, text rhythm, and dialogue relevance.

Workshop objective:

Leave with a toolkit of writing techniques to pursue your authorial path, and more specifically:

- Learn the different functions of punctuation marks, how to use them in a text, and play with their placement to develop text rhythm.

- Work on dialogue in narrative text so that it hits home, conveys a character's personality, and clarifies the bond connecting two characters.

- Learn to construct a "scene": alternating between dialogue, narration, movements, and character gestures to make a story more vivid.

Teaching methods implemented:

Reading texts by different authors that will serve as reference points for writing exercises.

Alternating technical and thematic writing exercises allowing work on language, structure, and writing several texts.

Feedback from the instructor and group after reading texts aloud.

A framework ensuring kindness, listening, and exchanges among participants.
