On January 7 1977, the founding line-up of Toto met for the first time at Davlen Studios in North Hollywood, California, to begin recording mockups that would become the band’s first album. The co-founders David Paich and Jeff Porcaro, along with Steve Lukather, Bobby Kimball, Steve Porcaro and David Hungate, launched a career that, almost half a century later, remains celebrated, appreciated and relevant.
