With a rich catalog of around sixty opuses, including operas, symphonic works, and chamber music, Elzbieta Sikora's repertoire encompasses electroacoustic pieces as well as instrumental compositions. "I listen, I search tirelessly," explains the composer who describes her music as "lyrical expressionism" and composed her Second Organ Concerto in 2022. The centerpiece of this concert, the Symphonie fantastique continues to stand as one of the most evocative and dazzling program music works—the torment of an artist with autobiographical undertones.
