Life is a great journey, life is a mirage. A great hostage, a beautiful shipwreck. Lyrics of the piece Otage Tout the world is called clara, selection group PAPA 2026-2027 composed of five musicians from Hauts-de-Seine, is the story of a re-appropriation of its own emotions, desires and flaws. United by an energy and a disconcerting power, five musicians transport us from soul to alternative rock, in an intense and striking sound exploration. Through intimate and poetic texts, they create a unifying and timeless musical space. The band was born in August 2024, when Clara surrounded herself with four musicians, all inspired by her cathartic and sensitive songs. In her texts, Clara addresses, in a raw and poetic way, love, grief, rage and resilience. Together, they explore and mix their different musical influences, between French song, pop, soul, R&B and rock. From this encounter comes a dancing, vibrant and embodied project, a true musical rough diamond. Every note, every word becomes an invitation to reveal oneself, to share a part of oneself. Everyone’s name is clara, not just playing: the project is lived, fully embodied on stage, in an unprecedented and upsetting experience. Beyond music, the project represents the inclusive vision of a free and assertive female scene where queer narratives and the expression of emotions open up a new space, affirming a singular musical signature, mixing poetry, power and sorority.
