Vowski - Release Party (+Marylou Sharrock)

On December 9, Axoh Production invites you to New Morning starting at 19h30 for the release party of the debut album by the band Vowski. Recorded in Manchester in March under the direction of Daniel Yvinec, this first opus breaks traditional jazz conventions to explore the genre in fresh and original ways. For this occasion, the band has prepared a brand-new show blending music, lighting, and video, created in collaboration with Emiliano Turi as artistic director and Alexi Alexia in charge of scenography and lighting. A unique event not to be missed under any circumstances.

Solitude within saturated urban spaces is the cruel paradox that Vowski strives to depict through music, in the vein of a modern spleen. Formed in Paris in 2024, the young band has continually reimagined jazz in an unprecedented form, breaking free from all aesthetic constraints. Their compositions, based more on exploring sonic textures than using complex harmonies and extended solos, redefine the boundaries of the style to give birth to post-jazz. The singular and avant-garde mindset of each member places the band among the most fascinating projects on today's jazz scene.
