Atelier co-réparation de vêtements avec la Resserre

Did your button fall off? Does your pair of trousers have a hole? Do you have a hem to fix? Keep your clothes, come learn how to repair them to wear them for a long time to come!

The textile industry…

Water usage, pesticides, energy-intensive design, transport, deplorable working and breeding conditions… The textile industry is destructive to biodiversity and the climate.

Added to this is waste! In France in 2019, 70% of clothing in a wardrobe is not worn. A French person buys 9kg of clothing and donates 3 kg. (Source: Novethic).

What if we changed?

By buying less, buying better, and repairing?

With volunteers from the Zézenne / La Resserre association, you can learn how to mend and sew, to extend the life of your clothes and give them a new shine!

Available: thread, needles, sewing machine.

Feel free to bring several items, we can repair them together or show you how to do it yourself! Remember to bring replacement buttons if you have them.

Discover La Resserre!

La Resserre: a project led by the Zézenne association, hosted at La Maison du Zéro Déchet and soon available at partner pickup points. You can borrow items for which you have an occasional need, rather than buying them. Saving space, saving money, reducing one's environmental footprint: individual and collective impacts are manifold!

Participants are likely to be photographed or filmed. If you do not wish to appear in photos/videos, simply inform us at the beginning of the workshop.
