Workshop on creating cleaning products

Come learn how to make your own cleaning products for maintaining your apartment in zero waste mode! The opportunity to leave with plenty of tips and advice, in addition to your homemade products!

What a nice smell in the room after tidying up and a thorough cleaning... Except that this nice smell, like many substances contained in cleaning products, can be harmful to your health and the environment.

91% of products tested in a study on household products emit formaldehyde, a proven carcinogen for humans according to the IARC (International Agency for Research on Cancer). Whether sanitizing, deodorizing or anti-dust mite, these products cause "major indoor air pollution" when exposed to them over a long duration and are therefore hazardous to human health in the long term.

In addition, they also have an environmental impact: releasing chemical substances after using these conventional cleaning products causes air and water pollution. Most end up in domestic wastewater (dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent, drain cleaner...). Wastewater is channeled to wastewater treatment plants, but not all chemical molecules are eliminated before release into the natural environment (Source: ADEME, Si on faisait le ménage dans nos produits toxiques (ademe.fr)).

Faced with this pollution generated by everyday products, our volunteers propose creating your own scouring cream and floor cleaner! 🙂

On the program

Our volunteers will propose:

A scouring cream recipe (a kind of natural CIF)

A dishwashing liquid recipe

They will give you all their best advice and answer your questions!

Your registration commits you, please notify us in case of cancellation, so we can offer you participation in another event of the same type. Participation is limited, so reserving a spot prevents a motivated person from attending the event.

All our workshops are run by volunteers; the requested contribution helps cover costs related to purchasing necessary materials.

No refund possible if you do not notify us 48h in advance.

Participants may be photographed or filmed. If you do not wish to appear in photos/videos, simply let us know at the beginning of the workshop.
