La Mort de George Sand, de Fiodor Dostoïevski

In an article published in June 1876 in "Le Journal d'un écrivain", entitled La mortde George Sand, Fiodor Dostoïevski does not just write a simple obituary: it orchestrates a lyrical and philosophical meditation on the figure of the French writer. Dostoevsky tells us from George Sand, which he had read and admired, that it had been famous in Russia, then forgotten, and takes the opportunity to evoke the relations between the literatures of his country and Europe.
