Marc Berthoumieux en résidence artistique au CMA9

Conservatoire Nadia et Lili Boulanger is pleased to welcome Marc Berthoumieux for an artistic residency during the 2026-2027 season. An acclaimed accordionist, composer, and arranger, he has spent over thirty years developing a unique musical universe where jazz, classical music, popular genres, and world influences converge.

Organized in partnership with Jean Ribeiro’s accordion class and the jazz department coordinated by Pierre Carrié, this residency will offer students workshops, masterclasses, creative sessions, and discussions with the artist.

Through exploring writing, arrangement, and improvisation, participants will discover the stages leading from a musical idea to the stage. Special attention will be paid to collective work, active listening, and the tonal richness of the accordion in dialogue with other instruments.

At the end of the year, students will share the stage in an exceptional concert dedicated to a collective work conceived and conducted by Marc Berthoumieux.
